Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Observe the darkness and let it wash over you. As you become more comfortable with the blank canvas, soft motion and colors will start to emerge. Don't try to influence these movements, simply observe as they become stronger and more vivid.
I approach video art with the same spontaneous ethos in which I approach music. I'm not interested in storytelling as much as I am with the rhythm of the visuals, the process with which they are created, and the feelings they evoke. Below are two different areas I've worked in, where, Music Video is more work I've done for other people, and Video Art is work I've done for myself. Indeed, they have some overlap, but those are the general parameters.
